Techniche are supporting a world's largest polymer foams manufacturer with appointing a new Electrical Maintenance Engineer.

The company specialise in production of polymer foam products, to any type of industry including construction, packing, mattresses,sport shoes etc.

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining industrial plastic foam manufacturing plant comprising steam boilers, thermal oil heaters, high pressure compressors, extrusion equipment, pressure vessels and associated processequipment.


Salary:
£42k + bonus and company benefits

Location:
Croydon


Hours:
Week - 6:30am - 3:30pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 6:30am - 1:30pm
Week - 8:30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 8:30am - 1:30pm

Key tasks:

  • Providing maintenance expertise, you will be responsible for the maintenance of plant and associated equipment ensuring that it is available to meet production requirements whilst minimising machinery uptime.
  • You will carry out planned, preventative and routine electromechanical maintenance and fault finding, recording the results, and taking action in the case of defective plant equipment to ensure safe operation at all times.
  • Through continuous improvement, you will support the move from a "repair culture" to an "improvement culture".

Requirements:


  • Electrical Engineering Qualifications (minimum national certificate) NVQ Level 3 in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Understanding and knowledge of SCADA systems / Automated System
  • Practical working knowledge of Electrical/Mechanical engineering
  • Minimum 5 year's industrial / practical experience; experience as a time served electrical engineer
  • Experience in Electrical / Mechanical fault finding, problem analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Maintenance experience essential, especially working with Computerised Maintenance Management Software (CMMS). Included in this should be spares, consumables and equipment management.
  • Experience with working with AC & DC drives
