Key Responsibilities

  • Adopt and promote a Zero Harm workplace attitude, drive improvement in Health and Safety
  • Promotion of a positive health and safety culture
  • Observation and adherence of the SimsMMway Safety Golden Rules
  • Lead and manage a team of people
  • Develop staff to reach their objectives and develop their capabilities
  • Promote continuous improvement wherever possible
  • Participate and drive growth strategies for the site
  • Ensure that Customers/Clients receive excellent customer service and value
  • Regularly communicate with other sites on relevant information
  • Provide support as required by covering Weighbridge, Mobile Plant, Banksman duties etc.

Qualifications:


  • Excellent knowledge of relevant Environmental, Health and Safety legislation.
  • Relevant experience of metals recycling processes
  • Previous experience of having worked with nonferrous / ferrous door trade
  • Fork lift license and JCB license would be advantageous
  • 360 machine operating experience would be advantageous
  • Experience using a weighbridge would be an advantage
  • ICT skills including Microsoft Office
