Description
A lady, in Kelso is looking for a cheerful and friendly support worker to join her small team.

The role is to provide daily assistance to enable her to live as independent a life as possible by supporting with morning routines and supporting with meal preparation.


Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • To support client to ensure their safety and wellbeing
  • To support with personal care needs including showering and washing.
  • To support with general care needs such as preparing meals and drinks.
  • To support client to manage the stairs in her home.
  • To maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the client's equipment and surroundings
  • To develop a positive relationship with the client

  • Kind and caring, sensitive to the client's needs
  • Patient and cheerful with a sense of humour.
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Ability to use your own initiative
  • Ability to work sensitively in a home setting respecting the client and family's right to privacy and to always maintain professional standards of confidentiality

Terms:


  • Hours per week: 4 hours but opportunity for more during holiday cover
  • Hours of work: Flexible to be discussed with the employer over a couple of days
- £11.50 per hour.

  • Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
  • Probationary period of 3 months
