Head of Finance VacancyWest Mercia Rape & Sexual Abuse Support Centre (WMRSASC) is a specialist sexual violence support service that has operated within Worcestershire since 1986, Herefordshire and parts of Shropshire
We deliver a range of services for survivors of all forms of rape, sexual violence, abuse, harassment and/or exploitation. We work with women, men, and children & young people (age 5+) and their families.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, oversee all WMRSASC finance functions enabling WMRSASC to fulfil its operational and strategic commitments.
This includes promoting and demonstrating a commitment to the vision, values and ethos of the centre ensuring that they are realised in all activities and services.
Must be a qualified accountant (CIMA or equivalent)Main responsibilities
- Responsible for the timely reporting of the financial performance of the organisation, including financial strategy, budgets, forecasts, financial risk management and preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Working as part of the Senior Management Team (SMT), contribute to strategic planning, annual business planning, preparation of budgets and salary reviews.
- Advise Trustees on the financial consequences of proposed actions.
- Ensure all accounting activities and external audits comply with the appropriate financial regulations.
- Ensure effective internal and external financial controls and procedures are in place and conform with the Charity Commission Financial Checklist
- Contribute to the identification of new contracts/ funding opportunities assessing and developing the financial model for each bid.
- Recommend costreducing solutions.
- Oversee the effective management of staff payroll, processing of invoices and expenses of staff, volunteers and other agencies and the autoenrolment pension scheme.
- Maintain regular liaison with the Treasurer.
Assist the Chief Executive Officer and SMT to maintain efficient, and confidential records on service provision including the collection, collation, and evaluation of statistical data.
This current vacancy is FTE hours per week based in Worcester but with travel throughout Worcestershire and Herefordshire when needed.

Salary of £44,539 - £49,590 FTE

26 days holiday plus 8 statutory holidays per annum (pro rata to hours worked), increasing to 31 days following five years' continuous service.
