Description
We require a 6th Form Community Student Support Officer and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to join us at Rednock.

You will be an empathetic, supportive communicator, able to quickly establish and maintain positive yet professional relationships with students and colleagues.

This post is the cornerstone of our ethos - as such it is an important role for students and parents as well as representing the school, publicly, day to day.

The post holder will be required to interact with students, parents/carers and colleagues. Dealing with concerns, interventions and processing information and maintaining accurate records. Promoting the safety, welfare, development and achievements of the student, both pastorally and academically.

Accuracy and attention to detail are key elements to the role in supporting the students and Community Leaders in administrative tasks.

As Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead you will be expected to undertake appropriate training and work as part of a wider team with responsibility for safeguarding across the whole school.

This role requires a high level of discretion and an ability to communicate effectively with external agencies as well as parents and young people.

Rednock School is a rural 11-18 comprehensive, with excellent road links and spectacular views over rolling hills; we can offer you enthusiastic students, superb facilities and an extremely supportive departmental and whole staff team.

Further details about the school and the role are available in the job specification documents, or on our website.
