Description
A Finance Business Partner is required for this rapidly expanding business based in Irlam, Manachester.


You will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective financial control (reporting, budgeting and forecasting) whilst working closely with the support functions to contribute to the company strategy.


Core Responsibilities

  • The main link between the finance department, the support functions and managers within the business.
  • Develop strong relationships with key personnel in support functions to ensure you are the first point of call for any key issues and changes.
  • Regularly update and analyse variances on key financial and operational KPI's relating to the support functions.
  • Aid support functions with the budgeting process and regularly update managers on variance to agreed budgets.
  • Deal with ad hoc financial queries and projects within the support functions.
  • Work closely with IT development and help to track the financial implications of their ongoing projects. Help to acquire accurate valuations of ongoing projects in order to capitalise as assets where possible.
  • Work with the other members of the FP&A team to minimise financial risk and flag any areas for process improvement that will improve KPI's.
  • Continually improve the quality, accuracy and timeliness of financial information
  • Work closely with the HR department to support with key financial and nonfinancial KPI's around staff numbers and recruitment costs


This role offers a basic salary of up to £45K with excellent benefits including 15%-20% bonus, generous pension, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday off, Private Medical Insurance, Cashplan and well being programme.

To be suitable for this role you will be Qualified or Part-Qual CIMA/ACCA/ACA and have:

  • Strong Excel skills including knowledge of pivot tables and complex formulas
  • Ability to deliver to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness.
  • Previous history or good knowledge of IT systems and terminology is desirable.
  • Sound financial modelling skills to assist with financial planning.
  • Communicates effectively both verbally and written to all levels of the organisation and external parties.
  • Proactive individual who enjoys looking for challenges and offering solutions.
