An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Control Inspector to join our clients Warehouse team in Colwick, Nottingham.
You'll be the first port of call to assure the correct level of quality of the fabric stock arriving into the business and any fabric rejections on their shop floor.
Attention to detail is key to this role, as you'll be responsible for inspecting productthrough batch sampling, colour checking and reporting against the master sample.
You'll be determining whether any flaws are outside of their tolerance limits, ensuring all flaws are recorded accurately and escalated to their Quality team if necessary.
A self-starter that uses initiative and can effectively communicate with various stakeholders, you'll be interacting with stakeholders across the wider business and external suppliers.
Quality Control Inspector - Key responsibilities:
- Ensure all items requiring inspection are selected, prioritising any item that is out of stock.
- Effectively communicate to the business any quality failures.
- Control any rejected stock and prepare stock for return to supplier.
- Inspect any shop floor rejections, and raise scrap tickets where applicable.
- Escalate issues to the Quality team as appropriate
- Good selforganisation and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritise a wide range of tasks along with project work.
- A Professional and consistent approach to internal and external contacts.
- Flexibility to analyse new information and react in the correct manner.
- To understand changing and varying demands of a wide range of internal customers, without losing commercial focus.
- Verbal communication skills are essential to aid interaction with internal customers at all levels, as well as external suppliers.
- Understanding of the needs, objectives and constraints of those in other functions
- A good working knowledge of SAP, Excel, Word
- Experience in a Quality Control role or environment would be beneficial to hit the ground running
