Regeneration & Environment

Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week.


Working as part of the Waste Collection Team based at Hellaby Depot, you will carry out waste collections across the borough.

This will include the collection of all waste and recyclables from household and commercial properties.


You must be flexible in your approach to acheiving targets, have experience of working witin a waste collection environment, preferably kerbside waste/recycling collections and be able to operate as part of a team.


You must be able to walk distances at a minimum of 8-10 miles per day and be able to push and pull bins of various sizes over various distances and gradients in all weather conditions.


It is essential you have a good understanding of health and safety requirements in the workplace and possess the necessary skills in terms of excellent customer care to represent the Council in the delivery of front-line services.


If successful, candidiates will be expected to complete both ADR and HGV Class 2 training to progress within the Waste Management Service.
