Train to become a teacher with the Greenwood Academies Trust and benefit from a tailored package of support and development from outstanding, experienced teachers and tutors.


In conjunction with our accredited providers, The Cambridge Partnership, Bishop Grosseteste University, Nottingham Trent University, and the University of Nottingham, the Trust is offering School Direct training places to start in September 2019.

Based in one of our academies, trainees will study for a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Masters credits, and a QTS award.


Since 2013 we have successfully trained more than 100 teachers through School Direct, with an impressive 100% employment rate upon completion of the course.


  • An understanding of teaching in a UK mainstream classroom
  • GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and maths (and science for Primary trainees)
  • Degree at 2:2 or above
  • NARIC certification for overseas Degree/GCSE equivalence
