In addition to the Sales Adviser aspects of the job, the successful applicant will also have the opportunity to work in our Hire Preparation department during the busy wedding season.

Therefore, a background in retail would also be of use. This is an ideal opportunity for a student who is available for additional work over the summer holidays.

At Slanj, we pride ourselves on providing a wide range of traditional and contemporary Highland Dress outfits to buy and hire.

We also offer an extensive range of Scottish gifts, along with our famous range of quirky Scottish t-shirts.

With our management team having accumulated over 60 years experience in the Highland Dress industry, we are very knowledgeable in all aspects of kilts and tartan.

The management team work very closely on a day to day basis with the store personnel and their knowledge has been passed onto our customer facing staff.

This means that every customer that walks in the door should be given the very best service that Slanj can offer.

We also maintain a presence in the corporate world, providing tartan design and products to various companies, charities, sports clubs and music groups.

Hours of Work
Saturday : 09:30 - 17:30

The additional hours during the summer to be discussed at the interview, but generally it would be

Mon - Thurs : 08:30 - 16:30

Ability to follow instruction to the letter

Work effectively under pressure

Minimum Wage - Wage range is dependant on age

Part-time hours: 30 per week

£7.49-£10.42 per hour
