Are you an SEMH Teacher looking for part time work at a fantastic Alternative Provision in South Birmingham?
An SEMH Teacher opportunity is available, working one day per week with young people who have left mainstream education.

** £144 - £208 per day

The SEMH Teacher Role:


As an SEMH Teacher at this school, you will be teaching pre-planned lessons in Art, English or Media, to pupils in KS3 and KS4 up to GCSE level.

You will need to manage classroom behaviour and firmly set expectations. It is important that you build up a strongrapport with the pupils you are teaching.

As an SEMH Teacher, you will also lead enrichment sessions, taking the form of various activities for the students, both on and off the school site.


The SEMH Teacher:


To be eligible for this SEMH Teacher role, you must be a QTS SEMH Teacher with a track record of excellent behaviour management and strong relationship building skills.

You must be able to build a good rapport with your pupils, taking special care to approachsituations in a person-centric, holistic manner.

This role is not suitable for ECT SEMH Teachers, and requires a good understanding of additional needs.

The school caters for pupil in Key Stages 3 and 4 with additional needs and SEMH issues that have resulted in them leaving mainstream education.
