HR ASSISTANT

  • Salary
  • Grade 7 Scale Points , £30,296 £33,945 per annum, pro rata.
  • 37 hours per week, 8am 4pm, Monday Friday
  • Working pattern option of either:
  • All year round (including periods of school closure) or;
  • Term Time only (including 5 INSET days), plus 4 weeks during periods of school closure
  • 26/31 days annual leave entitlement based on local government continuous service

The Dean Trust is looking for exceptional people to join its team at Dean Trust Wigan. The Dean Trust has a number of high performing schools and a proven track record of sustained improvement. You will be the sole HR specialist responsible for leading the operational HR function at the school, therefore the ability to work independently and use own initiative to provide first line advice and solve queries is essential.

The role will cover a diverse range of HR related responsibilities including; recruitment, payroll processing, attendance management, maintenance of staff personnel data.


Support in the role will be provided through Central HR resources who will be available to offer training and supervision on a regular basis.


This is a mid-level position, therefore in order to seamlessly adapt to the demands of this position, you will need to have previous experience of working in a similar position.

- ability to multi-task and continually prioritise workload without direct supervision in a fast-paced environment
