The client's finance team, a pharmaceuticals organisation based in Ely, is a high performing and high profile team reporting into the Finance Consultant.

The team has built credibility internally by delivering high quality analysis, meaningful commercialinsights and a robust planning cycle.

As an integral member of the team, the post holder will support a broad spectrum of financial functions across FP and business partnering within the division.


Client Details


The client is a pharmaceuticals and research organisation (CRO) based in Ely offering GLP and GCP bioanalysis of small molecules, large proteins for pharmacokinetics, biomarkers and immunogenicity.

They also provide cGMP analytical sciences research andtesting services, consultancy and quality control solutions to support Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) requirements at all stages of the drug development pipeline from discovery through preclinical and clinical development to commercial manufacture.


Description

Assistant Finance Analyst Key Responsibilities:


o Ownership and population of the Budget, Quarterly and Rolling Forecast models

  • Supporting the labour forecast as part of the global reporting funtion
  • Working with the FP&A Manager to assist in delivering on the global FP&A objective to provide succint support.
  • Provide initial analysis pf the financial & operating budgets and forecasts numbers

o Regular KPI & Dashboard reporting:

  • Running established reports
  • Developing new reports
  • Improving current reports

o Month-end Process & Cost Analysis

  • Updating the general ledger with journal postings
  • Owning the monthly P&L and developing new/existing reports to support the monthend process
  • Support montly & yearend balance sheet reconciliation

Profile

  • General ledger experience and experience of monthly accountancy routines.
  • Experience of handling large volumes of data within excel
  • A background working in an FP&A capacity is
    desirable but not essential:
  • Acumatica ERP
    desirable but not essential

Ideal Assistant Finance Analyst characteristics and skills:

  • Highly motivated and able to take the initiative.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills capable of engaging at all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills, Pivot table, VLOOKUP's SUMIFs are desirable but training can be provided
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to organise and prioritise demanding workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Experience of working in a scientific industry is desirable but
    not essential.
  • Flexibility to work in a changing environment

Job Offer
On offer is an exciting opportunity working in a dynamic environment within a friendly and supportive finance team.

Along with this is a 3 year chartered accountancy program to cover leave for courses, course fees and membership fees.


The salary bracket is £20,000 - £25,000 (depending on experience) plus study support which equates to about £5,000 a year.
