Technical and Accreditations Lead to join our team within our fast growing FMCG family business.
This role will give you the responsibility for all technical aspects of our manufacturing site ensuring the factory and its operation consistently meet both customer & legal expectations in relation to Food Safety, Integrity, Product Quality.

- Work collaboratively with Project Leads to deliver continuous improvement goals across all business units
- Work within a high performing culture and in particular:

- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with regulatory bodies and our customers which ensures all products are produced to high quality, customer standards and within safety, integrity, and legality requirements.
PLANET
- Ensure all critical technical, quality and customer accreditations are identified and embedded in the organisation through the QMS to create a customer compliance ready environment.
- Maintain and progress audit performance against BRC, organic and retailers audits and COP's
- Integrate the standards with software where at all possible, to promote transparency and to encourage a paperless working environment.
- Management, monitoring and development of raw materials and packaging of Gilfresh supply base to ensure that all technical and customer requirements are met.
- Propose an annual project plan to deliver on all technical and customer accreditations which also reflects the priorities of the Gilfresh business.
- Responsible for managing the Technical requirements of new product launch / development and Innovation processes.
- Keep up to date on legislative issues, technical matters and industry trends likely to affect the business.
- Implement, manage and strive for continuous improvement of the Quality Management System, so that as a minimum, required certifications are achieved and food safety/integrity/ quality and legal standards are consistently met and where possible "Best in Class" Technical standards are set. Responsible for HACCP and site Crisis Management Teams.
PROSPERITY
- Conduct a range of internal audits throughout the year based on technical and customer accreditations.
- Report on the results, gaining buyin for continuous improvements to enable greater unconscious compliance
- Liaise with Produce Operations to ensure standards are integrated into working methods, coaching colleagues as appropriate.
- Arrange formal audits as required, ensuring achievement of the highest standards possible.
- Post formal audits, present the business case for improvements and changes to sustain the compliance standard, and/or to move performance up a level.
- Handle customer complaints, to include documenting and trending them and putting in place corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Responsible for ensuring product specifications are in place and are accurate and agreed by customers and communicated to the operations team.

- Third level qualification in Food Technology or relevant discipline.
- Experience of working with major retailers.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of BRC, Level 3 HACCP and Food Safety legislation.
