An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Data Quality team on a fixed term basis.

They will support the organisation with the day-to-day validation of patient pathways by following National and Local policies and processes.


This will involve working closely with the Data Quality team to meet deadlines by completing the daily and weekly targets set out by the Data Quality Manager.


You will also get the chance to experience being part of our next exciting phase of digital development with the introduction of RPAS which will deliver improved patient care, enhanced staff experience and increase process efficiency.

Undertake data validation and data cleansing.

Support with the improvement in Data Quality.

Assist with creating data analysis of divisions.

Support with project work as requested by the Data Quality Manager.

Opportunity to monitor performance indicators within the service.

Support with training sessions.

Training and support will be provided throughout.

Job summary:

To improve data quality within the current Patient Administration System, to enable a clean data extraction to the new PAS

To improve data quality in other key hospital systems, as and when capacity allows

To improve the quality of the data used in Reporting across the Trust


To ensure the data going into the Data Warehouse is as accurate and up to date as possible, supporting Referral to treatment wait times and other key reporting area's.

Support with project work as requested by the Data Quality Manager.

Assist with creating data analysis of divisions.


Job responsibilities:


Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

To act on Data Quality reports that are produced highlighting areas where data needs updating

To update the PAS with the correct data as identified within the Data Quality reports

To feedback to the Senior Data Quality Co-Ordinator areas where repetitive data quality errors are being entered so that specific training can be provided

To trace correct patient details using Summary Care Record (SCR) and amend on the local PAS

To provide status updates/reports to the Senior Data Quality Co-Ordinator

To support validation and data quality standards within the trust

Any other duties that may be defined by the Senior Data Quality Co-Ordinator
