Job Purpose:


To work alongside managers on assignments to achieve the firms standards in terms of client service and quality control in an efficient manner.


  • Has working knowledge of VAT and CT
  • Can establish audit strategy with the Senior Manager and Partner
  • Has the ability to work on adhoc assignments such as due diligence, valuation and forecasting work
  • Has the ability to use authority and influence appropriately, and comfortable leading and directing the efforts of others to achieve results
  • Has Proven experience in Audit
  • Is studying towards or qualified in AAT or ACA

Job Duties:


  • Conducting day to day audit fieldwork and drafting financial statements, tax computations and management letters for any assignments allocated. Completing these assignments in a timely manner.
  • Working away at client premises in various locations
  • Build and maintain and good working relationship with the audit team and the client staff
  • Ensure that your assistants are fully briefed on the areas of work allocated to them. Briefing material must include; the nature of the business, the accounting problems of the client, the audit work to be performed, the budgeted time and deadlines, confirmationof understanding of the task
  • Supervising work of assistants. This includes; answering questions as they arise, formally reviewing all working papers, adequately dealing with review points, providing on the job training
  • Carry out audit procedures allocated to you
  • Monitor progress against the timetable and budget
  • Resolve audit and accounting queries to the extent you can
  • Keep the manager informed of the progress and of any matters that may arise
  • Keep technical knowledge up to date by attending appropriate courses and undertaking professional reading
  • Develop skills in the use of applicable computer software packages to ensure efficiency of each assignment
