Quality Assurance Specialist
Vitaflo (International) Ltd are currently looking to recruit a full-time, permanent Quality Assurance Specialist. Quality Specialists support the factory and our co-manufacturers in specific areas of expertise (e.g.

food safety, HACCP, auditing, traceability,hygiene, pest control, chemical contaminants, microbiology food safety, sensory, thermal processing, statistical process control, net content management etc.)




What will you do?
As the Quality Assurance Specialist, your responsibilities will consist of the following:

  • Contribute to developing the competency of quality professionals
  • Promote quality awareness and commitment to quality across the unit
  • Set operational objectives in collaboration with the Quality Manager
  • Define and update specific quality procedures, instructions and tools in the area of technical expertise
  • Contribute to, define and followup on quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • HACCP team leader for Vitaflo's onsite production facility
  • Support Nestlé Continuous Excellence program in the quest for zero defect
  • Support activities to achieve compliance with the Nestlé Quality Management System
  • Continuously increasing firsttime right quality related to comanufacturers
  • Lead the Halal & Kosher compliance project
  • Participate/lead the audits of Vitaflo comanufacturers
  • Support unit readiness for internal and external audits
  • Perform and coordinate GMP audits
  • Performs trouble shooting and corrective action followup of nonconformities

What skills and experience should you have?
To be successful in the role, we would like the successful applicant to possess the following:

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Food and Nutrition, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology or other related degree discipline
  • Internal auditor qualified, lead auditor would be desirable
  • HACCP and Food Safety Level
  • Experience in successfully implementing quality assurance programmes
  • Experience of complaint reduction projects, nonconformance management and root cause analysis
  • Broad understanding of different manufacturing technologies e.g. dry powder blending, can / sachet filling, aseptic liquid, infant requirements, zoning.
  • Can motivate, support and develop team members to achieve goals
  • Good problem solving and decisionmaking skills
  • A keen eye for detail with the ability to spot areas for improvement
  • Ability to establish working relationships successfully with departments, markets and factories
  • Results driven
  • Proficient in IT (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Databases)
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
