Are you a passionate Infrastructure Engineer professional looking to work for one of the public sector's leading organisations? Then Acorn Technology may have the position for you.

Acorn Technology is working with a leading NHS trust in Essex to find a talented and experienced Infrastructure Engineer.

This is a key position that requires a dedicated, self-motivated and capable individual to ensure the reliability and efficiency of supportto the technical Digital Services infrastructure.

This will comprise of Data Centre environment management, desktop, server, storage and backup systems, access and security systems, and Active Directory infrastructure.

The role will require close liaison with Digital Services Service Delivery teams to ensure the trust's published service level agreements are met.


Main duties/skills:

  • Provide 3rd line support where necessary
  • Application deployment and maintenance of the Trust SOE
  • Develop and maintain technical and systems documentation
  • Management of service level agreements with external suppliers
  • Implementation of backup strategies for information assets and technical configuration data
  • Performance management, diagnostic monitoring and trend analysis of Digital Services infrastructure

Key Technologies:

  • Microsoft Active Directory 2008 R2 and later including group policy design and troubleshooting.
  • Microsoft Exchange 2010 and later
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and later
  • HP Server Hardware
  • Endpoint security technologies
  • Network services (DNS, DHCP, WINS, RADIUS)
