The Airport Operations department keeps operations at our airports running smoothly through planning, organization and supervision.

Job Overview and Responsibilities


This position serves as a focal point in coordinating United Airlines Operation at Heathrow bringing together both vendors and UA departments to provide an efficient and safe operation.

Assigning all arrival/departing flights the relevant gates to meet UA operational requirements
Be responsible for co-coordinating the turnaround of an arrival/departure ensuring all vendors, internal departments work cohesively to ensure a safe, on time departure with all bags on board
Ensuring all IRROPS handling is communicated and in line with company requirements/standards whilst maintaining calmness and patience
Each aircraft is correctly loaded in line with company requirements and any changes are accurately communicated with all stakeholders including Centralized Load Planning and the NOC
Communicate with other divisions including Maintenance, Inflight Services, Corporate Security, Cargo, Flight Ops and the NOC
Ensure administrative tasks are carried out such as daily work sheets and aircraft rotations are produced for all vendors
Take responsibility for AAA completion for each flight covered in line with DfT and CAA guidelines
Prepare flight paperwork for crew including printing of flight plans, weather reports, passenger lists and airline documentation
Communicate aircraft fuel and load data between flight crew and load control departments
Maintain the highest standards of safety and security at all time
Other duties as assigned

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.


Qualifications:

Required

Must have a Secondary Level Education, High School Diploma or GED
Must be achievement focused and goal orientated
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Must be able to work effectively under time constraints in a pressurized environment.
Must have lead/supervisory and coordination experience
Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills & communicate effectively
Must have the ability to assume responsibility and ownership for results and be able to hold others accountable
Strong PC skills
Strong operational experience (or equivalent)
Must have a proven track record of reliability and flexibility
Full time 37.5 hour working week on a rotating shift basis
Must be legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
