About the role


Due to the expansion of Onward Repairs into the Greater Manchester area we are increasing the size of our in-house direct labour team (DLO) who carry our repairs to our occupied and void properties across the Greater Manchester region.


To support this expansion, we are now looking to recruit a number of
Supplier and Support Services Team Leaders who will provide a comprehensive range of administrative and business support functions to ensure safe, reliable and best in class repairs and voids maintenance supply chain and fleet service.

This role is office based role at 1a Enterprise Way, Accrington, BB5 0FR.


Key responsibilities

Delivery

  • Lead the administrative functions, whilst supporting the supply chain services, to deliver the work required to meet the needs of logistics and materials supply chain. Support the delivery of improvements identified by senior managers in the quality of services and the efficiency of the services provided.

Systems

  • Responsible for implementing appropriate systems and controls that support the delivery of projects, continuous improvement and that risks are monitored and managed effectively in delivering a materials supply chain system.

Planning

  • Responsible for all aspects of Support Services including all trades materials and logistics regarding Fleet. Assist with the effective management of vehicle fleet and lead the teams to identify where improvements can be gained.

Budgets

  • Working with the Fleet and Logistics Manager, assist with the key operational and financial targets related to the running of the material supply chain.

Partnership Working

  • Directly assist and work with planning teams, to ensure the effective use of all resources including supply chain. Provide a delivery in materials and logistics to all direct reports on evolving issues within DaytoDay repairs, Voids and Gas contracts.

Health and Safety

  • Ensure operatives are moving and operational monitored on a daily basis in safe working practice within the company fleet.

Customer Service

  • Ensuring customers are provided with a reliable service and treated with respect.

Line Management & Leadership

  • Provide line management and leadership to the support team and manage resources to ensure that objectives are achieved.

What are we looking for?

Essential:


  • Experience of leading a team in a similar construction, tradebased maintenance materials or fleetbased business.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage colleagues to deliver a quality customer centred materials and fleet supply chain.
  • Commercial knowledge and understanding of a construction, tradebased maintenance materials or fleetbased business.
  • Ability to effectively manage productivity, and resource/materials supply chain.
  • Detailed knowledge of either materials supply chain or Fleet management
  • Experience of delivering customer service.
  • Experience of partnership working.
  • Experience of working as part of a team.


  • IT skills

  • Microsoft office to Intermediate level.

Desirable:


  • Knowledge of working and experience of working in a direct line operative materials supply chain service or Fleet management service with a comparable workforce to Onward Repairs.

Qualifications:


Essential:

  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent qualification/ experience.

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualification / experience of developing a Logistics portfolio of multiple suppliers around the northwest with Contract performance.
