Metalis are working with a large well established company who are national leaders in the construction materials industry. They continue to grow through their loyal and committed employees.


They are looking to add to their team by hiring an
process project engineer on a full time permanent basis.


Purpose of the role:


The Projects Engineer (Process) is a member of the Projects Department, responsible for leading projects and contributing process engineering knowledge and experience to relevant projects.

That knowledge and experience relates to the following areas in particular:


  • Actively contribute to the safe delivery of projects by promoting behavioural safety, and ensuring work is executed to maintain or improve site standards with respect to Environmental, Health and Safety and Quality
  • Lead / manage CAPEX projects
  • Liaison with, and the supervision of, contractors and suppliers
  • Process equipment design and review, including P&ID, process flow chart and FDS reviews along with Operational and Engineering teams
  • Executing and supervising site surveying, design work, including dimensions, services etc
  • Lead / Participation in HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA and other Process Safety related studies as required
  • Participation in Plant bottleneck assessments and associated coordination of action plans
  • Lead / coordinate the full commissioning of new equipment with Suppliers / Contractors. Including commissioning risk assessment and commissioning plans
  • Maintaining effective logs of changes
  • Maintaining familiarity with site information (site plans, asbestos register etc) in the context of project delivery
  • Chemical/Process qualification
  • NEBOSH certificate
  • Project Management qualification
  • Site Management Safety Training
  • Min 5 years relevant projects experience
  • Proven personnel and cost management skills
  • Resource planning ability

Package:


  • Annual salary of £40,000 £45,000 dependant on experience
