Description
EM Tuition is a non-profit provider of training and tuition.

We work alongside Stafford County Council, providing support for children and young people with barriers to learning and also provide tuition as part of the National Tutoring Programme.

We currently have a role available supporting a vulnerable young person who has significant cognitive and speech and language delay.

The young person is a Year 11 girl, who requires a female teacher/tutor to support her progress. This will be a mixture of communication tools, so a knowledge of Makaton or sign language would be advantageous.

The learner is engaging and responds well to a positive, supportive adult, who can put boundaries in place and has high expectations.

You will require good knowledge and skills in supporting children with significant learning delay and challenging behaviour that can be Autistic based in relation to routine and comfort breaks at times.

There also needs to be a creative approach to learning that allows the young person to develop her life skills, in addition to her academic skills.

If you have the experience to meet the remit of the above role, we would love to hear from you.
