Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within their Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Taplow, Maidenhead.

The Salary for this permanent job is up to £39,643.50 per annum.


Main Duties:


  • Compiling comprehensive social history reports on all residents for including in the assessment process
  • Making recommendations on the practice and development of social work within the unit to the Unit General Manager
  • Participating in the delivery of the behavioural support and other treatment programmes
  • Undertaking preadmission resident assessments when requested
  • Ensuring that all necessary patient benefit claim forms are completed in accordance with agreed Policies and Procedures
  • Safeguarding training on a rota basis for new staff during admission
  • Safeguarding lead for allocated ward
  • Attending CP meetings, CIN meeting, Core group meetings, LAC reviews
  • Consultation with LADO and attendance at ASV meetings
  • Close liaison with external social care agencies
  • Safeguarding reflective practice for staff
  • Liaison with patients, parents and careers the MDT and external services around safeguarding concerns or incidents
  • Always conforming to the Policies and Procedures of the Company, with regard to confidentiality, financial and administrative responsibilities, and treat patients, colleagues and visitors with dignity and respect at all times
  • Undertake any other appropriate roles and responsibilities as requested and required

Requirements of the job:


  • A degree in Social Work
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Experience of liaising with local authorities
  • 2 years' experience of being a Senior Social Worker
  • Excellent understanding of safeguarding level 4
