Reed Education are supporting a school who are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN teaching assistant to join their team at a primary school in Walton on Thames.

As an SEN teaching assistant, you will be responsible for supporting students with specialeducational needs in the classroom and providing individualized instruction and support.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist students with daily activities
Provide individualized instruction and support to students with special needs
Work with teachers to develop and implement education health care plans (EHCPs) for students
Assist with behaviour management and social skills development
Provide academic support, such as helping students with reading, writing, and math
Monitor student progress and communicate with parents and teachers

Requirements:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience and empathy
Experience working with children with special needs (preferred but not required)
Education or training in special education (preferred but not required)
