Credit Controller

Cambridge (hybrid)

£28,000-£30,000 per annum


An exciting opportunity has arisen with a city centre employer, for an experienced and proactive Credit Controller to join their team on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Credit Manager, this role will see the post holder becoming involved in all aspects of Credit Control, with duties to include the following:

  • Manage all aspects of aged invoicing to reduce the overdue debts, resolving client disputes, administer write offs
  • Cover production and posting of weekly debtor letters
  • Maintain communication with the sales team and Credit Control Team Leader concerning problem debtors
  • Maintain communication with the accounts payable team to resolve outstanding debt
  • Reconciling sales ledger accounts daily, dealing with outstanding invoices, credit balances, resolving any queries promptly, issuing refunds and investigating payment queries
  • Work to weekly and monthly targets for client debt balances, working closely with team members
  • Daily maintenance of collections statuses


This client is looking for somebody with previous credit control experience, and a good understanding of credit control processes and procedures.

Knowledge of litigation and legal processes would be advantageous, however not essential.


Please be aware that this company is based in central Cambridge, with no on site parking, however there is ample parking in the surrounding areas and the offices are within a 5 minute walk of the city centre train station.

The company work on a hybrid basis,and employees are able to work from home 2-3 days per week, once probation has been passed.

Travel to the Peterborough office will be required 2-3 times per month.
