Location:
Central London**
Salary:circa £23K pro rata -** initially 6 month contract

Our client is a specialist translation company based in Central London.


Job Purpose
To ensure timely collection of monies owed to all companies within the Group.


Main Responsibilities
Debt Collection

  • Take responsibility for collection of all receivables across all international group companies, in all functional currencies of the group. This will involve managing across different time zones.
  • Communicate with clients to ensure timely payment of sales invoices.
  • Where necessary obtain approval from the relevant Business Director to initiate collection proceedings through the small claims court.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of all actions taken and all communications issued/received for each invoice using the company's credit control database.
  • Maintain complete audit trail of all documentation.
  • Liaise with accounts receivable to ensure incoming remittances/credit notes are processed in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with operations when any amendments to invoices are required, or with any queries.
  • Attend monthly credit control meetings with Business Directors, providing up to date information on current list of outstanding invoices.

Job requirements
Academic Qualifications

Relevant Work Experience

  • Experience within or a passion to begin a career within a credit control or similar corporate environment.
  • Competence in the Windows operating environment, MS Word and MS Excel, and Email.
General

  • Good communication skills and helpful attitude.
  • Ability to deal with conflict situations constructively.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • A team player able to multitask with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
