Support Worker

Stepping Stone Court, London, N18

£12.67

37.5 hours per week - 5 days per week on a rolling rota, to include early and late shifts and weekends


We're seeking an experienced Support Worker to provide person centred support to our customers at Stepping Stone Court, where you will be making a real difference to their lives.


Stepping Stone Court consists of offering nine studio flats and a one-bedroom flat and provides care and support for 10 adults aged between with a range of mental health needs.

Located in a residential area of Edmonton, Stepping Stone Court is close to bus, train and tube stations.

You will have access to our Learning and Development Academy providing a wide range of training courses, open to all.

The role of Support Worker will include:

  • Ensuring that relevant support is provided to encourage our customers to maximise their own potential and level of independence
  • Assessing customers needs by writing and updating support plans
  • Being a first point of call to receive and direct all customer queries
  • Developing professional relationships with customers, ensuring that customers maintain personal choice, privacy, and dignity
  • Liaising with external support links to improve customers' confidence, health and wellbeing and offer training and encouragement towards employment and education
  • Handling occasional emergency situations
  • Keeping accurate and highquality written records

Skills and experiences:


  • Experience of working with vulnerable adults, people with mental health needs, is essential
  • A positive, cando attitude
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Ability to hit the ground running and work under challenging circumstances
  • Good communication skills
  • Adaptable to internal and external changing demands
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or similar
