Our client, a growing M&E contractor who maintain a large number of road tunnels, are looking to appoint a Maintenance Co-ordinator, to oversee the submission of maintenance reports to their clients.

This is a permanent role which will pay between £40,000-45,000 dependant on experience.

The successful applicant will work closely with the Contracts Manager for the Southern region and ensure that the PPM reports carried out by the engineering team, are of a high standard and contain the correct information relating to advised works giving a clear summary of what work is required.

This is a critical position for the business, as they have recently won large contracts in the South, and are looking to appoint someone very quickly to assist with the increased workloads.

The role will be based in their South East London office near Dartford working Monday to Friday 7:30-8am to 4pm-4.30pm with half an hour unpaid lunch.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Management of the internal system & software to ensure all planned preventative maintenance & Engineering work requests are prioritised and coordinated.
  • Evaluate completed work orders / breakdown reports to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Liaise with the Project manager to allocate labour for maintenance activities
  • Oversee the submission of maintenance reports to clients, ensuring that a high standard of work has been carried out and reported from the site engineers
  • Create quotes for any remedial works and present to the client
  • Liaise with Project Manager to ensure all items needed to complete work requests are available on time.
  • Organize and liaise with arranged contractors, ensuring that all activity is carried out safely.
  • Employ a continuous improvement mindset to maximise the efficiency of tunnel closures
  • Owner of the Planned Maintenance process supporting and improving our planned maintenance programs to ensure all items are within regulatory compliance.
  • Apprentice Trained HNC (Desirable), or equivalent within a maintenance environment.
  • Knowledge of both mechanical and electrical maintenance processes.
  • IT literate. Knowledge of MS office is a must, use of Agility, Salesforce or similar CRM will be advantageous.
  • Ability to organise, coordinate and complete multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrate ability to build and maintain good working relationships internally & externally.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Comfortable in quoting Electrical and Mechanical works (desirable)
  • Excellent written English Skills
