An opportunity has arisen for a Technology Apprentice to join a friendly, supportive Technology Department.

The role will include being a member of the Technology department, with active involvement across multiple teams to gain practical experience and on-the-job training in the field of ICT.

As an ICT apprentice, you will work under the supervision and guidance of experienced professionals to develop your skills and knowledge in various areas of ICT.

Responsibilities will include
Installation and configuration of end user compute equipment.

Provision of first line support for all ICT incidents, requests and changes across all communication channels for the Council, its elected members, shared services and partner agencies.

Keeping accurate electronic records of council technology assets.

Ensure all interactions with users of the service are handled in an efficient and courteous manner.

Providing technical support to customers both internal and external through a range of communication channels

As part of the apprenticeship approximately 20% of your time will be spent undertaking training at Bedford college.

This is a fixed term role for 21 months.
