Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Physiotherapy assistant to work as Technical Instructor as part of a lovely Physiotherapy team offering Physiotherapy service to Older Adult service users based at Woodlands Hospital.

This is a full time, permanent post, covering Monday to Friday.

The applicant should be able to demonstrate relevant experience of working with older people and have relevant mental health experience.


Under the guidance of Band 7 and 6 Qualified Physiotherapists, the job holder will be responsible for managing a daily caseload of clients with acute and complex mental health and physical healthcare needs and completing a certain assessments and treatment plans to contribute to the discharge planning process.


As part of the Physiotherapy team, they will also contribute to the planning, development and evaluation of the physiotherapy services within the in-patient unit and contribute to falls projects and training for staff and students within Woodlands Hospitals.

Main duties include:

Maintain a high standard of clinical work when carrying out Physiotherapy procedures.

Responsible for the safe implementation of Physiotherapeutic assessments and treatment plans, under the guidance of Qualified Physiotherapist.


Ensure compliance with our clinical governance framework, you will motivate colleagues, champion service user safety and dignity, promote staff health and wellbeing at work and drive continuous improvement.

Contribute effectively to the service development as part of the Physiotherapy and Physical healthcare team.

Committed towards maintaining up-to-date mandatory training and other Professional related training and development activities. Demonstrate a high Professional standards and ethics.
