Vice President - Technology & Operations _Are you a Senior Executive? Either a

Software as a Service (SaaS) environment?_

  • We are handling an exciting opportunity to serve as the
    senior leader in India for a Global technology business This role has the responsibility as
    'head of office' and will support the companies' strategic vision and
    provide oversight and leadership for daytoday operations in Chennai._First class
    business acumen, an
    entrepreneurial mindset and a
    handson leadership style is anticipated._
Office based - located in Chennai - commutable from Chennai, Avadi, Ennore, Sriperumbudur, Perungalathur, Guduvancheri, Maraimalai Nagar, Navalur, Kelambakkam, Thiruporur

Salary - ?Competitive DOE + Executive Benefits + Car


The Role

  • Provide broad technology leadership across development, data processing, QA, BI, infrastructure and operations.
  • Serve on the Indian board.
  • Drive business results through strong technology and operational practices.
  • Lead locallybased teams partnering closely with functional owners to implement global standards / practices.
  • In partnership with the leadership team and working within a matrix structure, define and implement operations strategy, structure and processes in India.
  • Communicates the strategic direction of the organization's operations and recommends benchmarks for measuring operating performance.
  • Monitor performance to proactively identify efficiency issues and propose solutions.
  • Ensure that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the company's business plan and vision.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage the development of staff, including training and development, setting objectives and priorities, and removing road blocks for productivity and effectiveness.
  • Provide regular performance updates to the senior leadership team and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
  • Manage the facility footprint locally.
  • Attend senior technology leadership meetings and monthly business reviews.
  • Proven experience within a
    senior leadership role progressively responsible experience in
    general business operations coupled with previous
    technical leadership:
  • Previously operated at a senior level within a
    Software as a Service (SaaS):
  • Strong
    business acumen with
    broad operations experience and knowledge of fundamental business and technology principles.
  • A track record of
    evolving teams, with the ability to attract talent.
  • Experience of managing end to end operations.
  • Previous experience of working within a
    matrix organisation with the ability to translate Global policies to a local level.
  • Fluent
    business English is a must for this role,
    Tamil language skills are also required.
