Main Duties:
To include, but not be restricted to, the following duties: 1.
To carry out any technical/administrative duties required in the Prenatal, Postnatal laboratories and/or analysis section under the direction of the department managers.
2.To be responsible for the organisation and performance of clinical laboratory tests within target deadlines as determined by HSL/TDL Genetics.
, ensuring that all procedures meet the required standards and processing all assigned work within the established guidelines.- If required, to train in cytogenetic analysis as and when this meets the needs of the company. 4. To take part in Joint Annual Reviews, to attend laboratory meetings, and participate in departmental audits as required.

7.To undertake work in a careful and efficient way and in compliance with UKAS/
ISO:
15189 guidelines.
To ensure that all procedures followed meet necessary standards (in particular UKAS/
ISO:
15189 requirements and the guidelines of the Quality Management Group) and participate in the creation of new procedures as necessary. 8. To contribute in ensuring continuing adequate maintenance, repair and safety of all departmental equipment.
9.
To be aware of those laboratory procedures that include:
Maintenance and implementation of departmental policies and procedures for safe and efficient working. Good housekeeping and technical working practices. Appropriate maintenance of the relevant departmental stock control system and organisation of stock rotation 10.
To protect the health and safety of departmental staff and ensure compliance with the Company safety policy and legal requirements under the guidance of the Health & Safety staff.
