An exciting opportunity has arisen for an In-House Legal Advisor to join a rapidly growing bank within their Mortgages team.

The key purpose of this role is to provide advice on legal and regulatory matters relating to retail and commercial mortgages, conveyancing, and other aspects of retail and commercial lending operations, as well as real estate.

Responsibilities include:

Providing legal support to the Group on all aspects of residential, buytolet and 2nd charge mortgages law and regulation, lending operations, mortgage servicing, and conveyancing.
The role will also involve maintaining and updating the company's CML Handbook and providing legal support on projects affecting mortgages and savings.

The Legal Advisor will be expected to monitor and report on changes in legislation and regulation that impact the business, identify and troubleshoot legal-related issues, and provide general legal support and assistance to the Mortgages Legal team and otherteams as required.

Will possess specialist knowledge of the law and regulation/regulatory guidance around retail mortgage lending, real estate, property conveyancing and legal issues around secured properties for mortgage lending.
