The Benefit Service is looking for an agile, keen and motivated person to join our service as a Benefits Assistant.
You will work directly with your team manager to ensure that daily objectives, reports and work plans align directly with the service goals.
Main duties include:
Providing clerical support and undertaking interrogation of computer records including basic updating in a team of staff dealing with benefit claims for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit in accordance with appropriate legislation and office procedures in order to deliver a quality service to claimants and to achieve the appropriate performance indicators.
A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be undertaken
Proof of Right to work in the UK will be required for all applicants in accordance with UK Home Office requirements, before any employment offer can be confirmed.
