The Access to Finance Service is recruiting for a finance professional with experience and knowledge of the processes involved in funding SME businesses.


Working closely with Boost, Lancashire's Business Growth Hub, the specialist will facilitate access to finance and financial support services for SME businesses located within Lancashire.

Working in conjunction with a variety of internal and external partners the Specialist Advisor will support businesses with their investment readiness needs in preparation for raising finance.


The successful applicant will be a self-motivated finance professional; a good team player with proven problem-solving skills and an ability to think innovatively.


Key Skills:


  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively through a variety of media
  • Ability to be able to adapt their approach to the needs and perspective of individual businesses
  • Selfmotivated, proactive independent worker capable of organising and prioritising individual workload and delivering to tight deadlines
  • Competent client project manager with experience of managing financial projects at varying levels of complexity whilst ensuring visibility through the group CRM system
  • Ability to accurately develop, analyse and interpret financial information
  • Strong IT skills familiar with Microsoft Windows packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc)

Skills Required:


  • At least degree level business education, or degree level qualification with a management body or the equivalent relevant business experience to match those
  • Demonstrable track record in accessing SME funding
  • Indepth knowledge of the various forms of finance products available to Lancashire SMEs including all types of debt and equity
  • A detailed knowledge of the processes involved in supporting SME investment readiness, including an assessment of eligibility criteria, commercial suitability and the processes involved in raising funds
  • Commercial awareness plus a network of professionals and funders

Please note that this is a fixed term role until June 2023.

A driving licence and access to a vehicle is required for this role.

Contract length: 6 months


Salary:
Up to £39,100.00 per year
