We are delighted to be partnering with Thompson & Morgan in Ipswich for their search of a Financial Controller.

The right person will be an experienced qualified accountant and will possess a wide range of technical and personal skills.

The role is not restricted to finance as you will be expected to have involvement in and contribute to all areas of the business.

Responsibilities include:

Preparing monthly management accounts
Responsible for full year budgets and reforecasts
Handling longterm forecasting, cash flow management and other KPI's on business performance
Providing dynamic leadership of the finance team and to make the finance department an integral part of the business
Ensuring the highest standards are maintained and the accounts processes are efficient
Responsible for margin and overhead cost analysis
Overseeing the preparation of all statutory reporting requirements and leading the annual audit process
Responsibility for VAT and PAYE compliance

Key Skills:

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with relevant post qualified experience.
Strong IT skills are a prerequisite, in particular excel/modelling.
Knowledge of and experience in stock costing is beneficial.
An ability to work independently without close supervision and in particular the managing of distance relationships across the company's various locations.
Ability to communicate/present financial information to different audiences.
