You'll be joining an established HR team, reporting directly to the Head of People & Organisational Development, and working closely with another HR Officer, HR Business Partners, the Learning & Development Manager, and the Recruitment Business Partner.


Due to the changing nature of our processes following the introduction of our new HR system (iTrent) this role is offered on a fixed term contract for a minimum of one year.


We work flexibly as standard; you need to be within commutable distance of our Edinburgh office (EH12) as we work 50% of our time in the office and 50% from home.

Job Purpose

To provide an effective and efficient administrative service to support the HR department and wider organisation. To support the wider HR function by providing advice, support, and training to people managers across the organisation.

What will you bring?

  • 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Skilled in the use of all Microsoft Office products
  • IT Literate; able to learn new systems quickly.
  • An ability to demonstrate a commitment to our five values: Values
  • High level of selfmotivation, able to meet several deadlines.
  • Excellent organisational & communication skills with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexibly on your own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Up to date knowledge of employment law.
Desired Skills/Experience

  • CIPD Qualified.
  • Knowledge of the social care sector.
  • Understanding of HR systems, ideally iTrent.
  • Able to start with us quickly.
