Senior Audiences Executive, Commercial

This role entails
Providing internal and external stakeholders with intelligent, creative and inspirational consumer research and insight, to inform decision-making.
You will provide strong sales arguments to support the day to day needs of the ITV Commercial Team, and brief commission and manage ad hoc advertising effectiveness, sponsorship and ad innovations projects.
Working alongside the Commercial teams to demonstrate the effectiveness of advertising on ITV's portfolio of TV channels
and digital platforms, by providing insight on consumer lifestyles, and viewing trends, with particular focus on utilising innovative research techniques to explore the impact of new advertising innovations.
Key responsibilities:
Key areas of research & insight input include:
- Supporting the overall ITV commercial team
- Working with the specific commercial teams at GIR e.g. trading, digital, sponsorship & partnerships
- Briefing, commissioning and managing ad hoc research projects
- Work with the Head of Audiences, Commercial in developing and delivering major studies to the industry
- Demonstrating advertising effectiveness using a variety of research techniques and methodologies
- Disseminating wider advertiser & category information when and where relevant
- Working with the relevant sales teams in a flexible 'consultancy' capacity, to input consumer insight into shortterm and longterm projects
- Ensuring that findings from research projects are converted into tangible, accessible and useful information and insight
- Aggregating and communicating all relevant external research and analysis; participating in industrywide research where appropriate
- Contributing towards the core projects of immediate team and the wider ITV Audiences team
- To continually identify information gaps, pertinent to the commercial role
- To lead on Ad Innovations research projects for the commercial team
To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:
Minimum role criteria:
- A working knowledge of media research techniques and tools. Including BARB, MEDIAOCEAN, TGI, Techedge, IPA Touchpoints and YouGov.
- Intuitive understanding of research methodologies with a creative approach to problem solving
- Ability to produce high quality written materials and deliver strong written and verbal presentations
- Good commercial research skills
Further criteria is as follows:
- Working knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Google Data Studio and Tableau would be beneficial.
- Evidence of contributing towards projects that have made a tangible difference to a business
- The ability to build and develop excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Proactive and selfmotivated and able to think on your feet
- Must be innovative, dynamic, flexible and collaborative with interpersonal and influencing skills and a high degree of integrity
- Ability to prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines
- A real interest and understanding of consumers and viewers
- Awareness of the competitive frame in which ITV operates
