New Beginnings Childcare (Moorside) Co. Ltd

Early Years Practitioner based within our pre-school room (3-5yrs)

Able to start as soon as possible once applicant is selected and safe recruitment checks are suitable and completed.
Full time / 30+ hours per week across Monday - Friday

Hourly rate - up to £11.44per hour in line with National living wage / pending age

Must be flexible to work within the business opening times of 7.30am - 6pm


Childcare qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3, CACHE or Higher Level Early Years Qualification, e.g., Level 4/ 5 or Level 6 Early Years Degree.

At least 2yrs Experience of working with young children 0-8years.


Desirable skills/knowledge - SEN, experience of working with children who may need additional support with their learning and social development, experience with one to one care could be beneficial to the role but not essential.


To work as a professional team member in providing a broad range of high quality education, learning and care for young children.

To work with the nursery team to maintain a stimulating and enjoyable learning environment. To work in close partnership with other practitioners, professionals and the family to ensure consistent learning for the children.

To undertake the delivery of day and sessional care and education for New Beginnings childcare.

To contribute to an appropriate safe, secure, stimulating environment for all children.

Be passionate and motivated.

Be proactive in the process of activity planning, child observation and development records, using the online Tapestry software on a regular basis and as requested by your supervisor, deputy or manager (training will be given for this)

To be knowledgeable of and implement New Beginnings Childcare policies and procedures.


To work in partnership with colleagues and join our small, friendly nursery team, committed to the role, efficient, flexible, resourceful.

To adopt a positive approach of new procedures, in line with best practice.


Have an understanding of Early Education and early intervention, ensure knowledge is up to date and relevant in the understanding of the new EYFS reforms and development matters.


Work with and alongside the current knowledgeable and skilled team, participate in children's development files/assessments, displays, planning, room set up, enhancing learning environments.

Participate in monitoring and recording of the children's progress, encouraging children to achieve and grow as individuals. Ensure good practice is implemented within the role and maintaining high standards of care and education.

Be willing to engage with relevant training and continued professional development. Be enthusiastic to develop their skills and knowledge within the Early Years sector.

Be able to use basic ICT equipment effectively

At all times to work within the settings guidelines, with particular reference to:

  • Safeguarding and child protection
  • Equality, diversity, prevent and British values.
  • Special educational needs and inclusion
  • Behaviour management
  • Health and safety
We are situated within a purpose built children's nursery within a Family Hub.
