The University is looking to appoint an Executive Officer to provide high level administrative support for members of the Senior Leadership Team in the Strategic Planning Directorate (SPD).


This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to work as part of a busy and established team.

Providing administrative support to members of the SPD leadership team, including the Director of Planning and the four Directors of Faculty Planning and Operations, you will help to coordinate major operational and strategic planning activities and information across the University.

In this role you will develop a detailed understanding of the annual schedule of business and how this connects to the priorities of each of the Directors.


The role will be wide-ranging and challenging and would be well-suited to someone who is tenacious, a quick learner, and keen to make a significant contribution to the effectiveness of our processes.

About the role:


This varied role will include coordinating a wide range of meetings, diary management, communications and stakeholder engagement ensuring that key planning and operational priorities are effectively scheduled and embedded across the University.

The workload associated with the post will be demanding, requiring first class judgement, personal organisation and a degree of flexibility, as well as an ability to work to absolute deadlines.

The role requires efficient, effective, high-quality levels of administrative support.

You will take a proactive approach to ensure that all tasks are completed to an excellent standard, alongside assisting with the co-ordination of ad hoc initiatives or events.


Well suited to an ambitious and self-starting individual, this role provides the opportunity to gain insight and experience within Higher Education strategic planning and operations management.
