What you'll do

Communicating the Product Vision

  • Support the development of the Product Vision, led by the Group Digital Product Managers explicitly communicating the Product Vision and key goals, working with key stakeholders from the endtoend programme and our key business areas to inform this and also to ensure alignment in terms of product vision
  • To foster a highperformance collaborative team culture, ensuring that the context, rationale and purpose of the product is clear to all squad members.
  • Support the development of product roadmap in conjunction with Group Digital Product Managers, business partners and the AdTech Programme Manager & Senior Product Owner
Agreeing Priorities based on maximising value

  • Collaborate effectively with the AdTech Programme Manager, Ad Tech Senior Product Owner and key business stakeholders to agree priorities, taking into account, business and end to end programme perspectives
  • Ensure features are prioritised on their basis of value whether direct revenue, key dependency for other deliveries or other less tangible reasons.
Managing the Product Backlog

  • To be accountable for effective Product Backlog management, including creating with the squad and clearly communicating Product Backlog items and prioritising this and ensuring that the Product Backlog is transparent, visible and understood.
Overseeing the Development Stages

  • To maintain consistent and welldocumented detail on delivery of product features to the proposed roadmap and to meet key product objectives
  • To maintain formal summary reporting, managing risks to ensure plans/boards are kept in line with baseline expectations and agreed tolerances
  • Ensure appropriate reviews are in place to ensure confidence is maintained with the key stakeholders and elicit any feedback to refine the product as required
  • To engender a culture of collaborative communication across the team and ensure that an effective and regular communication structure for the team to feedback any concerns
  • Working with the Development teams to ensure that operational requirements are captured early in the process and fully factored into development processes, to ensure the delivery of resilient, scalable and secure systems
  • To encourage appropriate skill and knowledge sharing across the Ad Tech team and Digital teams as appropriate.
Acting as Primary Liaison

  • To be the primary communicator between key stakeholders and the development teams for agreed features for Digital Advertising
  • Work with third party suppliers, ensuring they are fully briefed on what is required to meet your product goals
Maintain Delivery Momentum for overall Product Delivery

  • Working closely with other Sky departments and thirdparty suppliers, ensure that detailed plans are captured that take into account key dependencies and to ensure these are closely managed and contingent options in place as required
  • To unblock impediments to delivery enabling the development teams to focus
Evaluating Product Progress at each iteration

  • Need to take the lead on evaluating on whether the product development is fit to progress to the next iteration or whether you need to make adjustments prior to proceeding
What you'll bring

  • Leadership and ownership with a real passion to drive product development and delivery with cross functional teams
  • Solid experience of working in Digital advertising. Knowledge of the Sky Digital product set would be highly beneficial.
  • Ability for selfstarter to lead and help define the product backlog for multiple products for developing new advertising features in the Digital Advertising space.
  • Key is strong Agile skills and experience as a product owner or similar role, with the ability to grasp technical concepts and to act as key liaison point working closely with the Digital scrum teams, as well as our programme team and other business partners responsible for overall end to end deliveries.
  • Looking for a collaborative, adaptive teammate for this key role to help drive deliveries for Digital advertising.
  • Good relationship builder who is able to develop key relationships with key collaborators both internally and externally, ensuring alignment to meet product development and delivery goals
