An excellent opportunity has arisen to join Lockton and our Global Real Estate and Construction team in a newly created role.


We are looking for an experienced Claims professional with excellent knowledge of commercial property claims to join our integrated division of claims and broking professionals, supporting clients in the validation, preparation and progression of large and complex claims.


Key responsibilities:


  • Managing large and complex claims for clients, demonstrating the value of Lockton's Claims Consultancy proposition
  • Managing client expectations throughout the claims process
  • Supporting clients immediately post loss occurrence
  • Collating information from clients/stakeholders, calculating their losses and presenting them to loss adjusters
  • Securing agreement from clients to earn fees for the preparation of their claims
  • Supporting the Lockton claims community with advice regarding technical issues
  • Attending/leading claims meetings with clients, loss adjusters and insurers
  • Thoroughly understanding policy wording and coverage afforded to clients
  • Supporting the development of colleagues and team members by imparting knowledge, skills and experience
  • Identifying and developing alternative revenue streams for claimsrelated activities, aligning with clients' interests and requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial property claims is essential
  • Sound understanding of London Market Real Estate is desirable
  • Willingness and ability to continue to develop knowledge through formal and informal learning, both internal and external to the company
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Ability to manage time, prioritise and ensure that deadlines are met without compromising quality
  • Willingness to travel within UK and through Europe, if required
