This post has been funded by the Greater Manchester Clinical Research Network to improve and facilitate recruitment of GMMH service users, their families, carers and staff to high quality research studies on the National Institute for Health Research Portfolio.


The post-holder will work with GMMH research units and clinical teams to maximise participant recruitment to NIHR portfolio studies utilising new and established systems and processes.

These particular posts include a requirement to support studies which will relate to Psychosis Research Unit, GM Digital Research Unit and Suicide, Risk and Safety Research Unit and may involve recruiting from GMMH prison services.


The post holder will be a key member of the GMMH R&I team, providing ongoing support to established GMMH research units to enable effective recruitment to clinical research studies related to the research units across the GMMH footprint.


The post holder will liaise with local clinical teams and study sponsors to support the delivery of study protocols and the service users involved.

The post holder will be involved in ensuring that the research undertaken safeguards the well-being of the service users and will have a key role in providing and maintaining appropriate participant-focused environment to facilitate the production of good quality research.


Post holders will be expected to participate fully in their personal development and review process in order to achieve the objectives for this post.
