A permanent, full time Accounts Payable Team Leader role based in South Manchester and offering hybrid working.

This role is working within the Housing Sector, leading a team of 8 and is paying up to £33,000 per annum.

Client Details
Our client is a nationwide Housing Association with offices primarily in London and Manchester.

Having been around for the last 50 years, our client owns and operates over 100,000 properties and is passionate about investment in local communities to provideaffordable housing.

Description
The key responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to;

Lead and assist the team with day to day activities whilst setting an example in delivering excellent customer service in line with the company values;
Ensure activities of the team meet objectives and key performance indicators, e.g. suppliers paid within set terms, risk processes actively followed and managed, monthly creditor reconciliations completed, monitoring invoicing to ensure all financial obligationsare being adhered;
Maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners, including suppliers, residents, local authorities, bailiffs, auditors and agencies. Role incorporates supplier screening;
Lead the team to process supplier invoices and payments within agreed terms and manage supplier accounts.

Profile

Sector/specialist knowledge & experience: Must have experience in an accounts payable function. Not required to have sector/systems specific experience;
Leadership & management experience: Team leadership experience essential;
Communication & influencing skills: Must be able to influence third parties;
Academic & professional qualifications: Preferably AAT qualified;
