SEN Teaching Assistant

- Location - Birmingham, Hansworth

- Start date - ASAP

- Position - SEN Teaching Assistant

- Hours: Full-time, 8:30am to 3:30pm daily

- Salary - £70-£90
Are you a proactive SEN Primary School Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with SEN needs? Are you looking to further your career within SEN in a Primary School?


Balfor Education are currently recruiting for hard-working, confident Teaching Assistants to work in EYFS/KS 1, in a welcoming and friendly primary school in the Hansworth area.

A great opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, the roles are flexible, part-time, full-time, to start ASAP, and will potentially continue for one full academic year.


This role will involve:


  • Planning SEN resources and activities that meet child's IEP targets.
  • Perform Personal Care
  • Support children with autism and complex learning difficulties
  • Supporting Nonverbal EYFS students
  • Carrying out tailored assessments and recording results
  • Assisting in the daily routines for the child
  • Working with child on range of learning and play activities, indoors and outdoors.
  • Liaising with parents

To be eligible for this role you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Qualified Level 3 in Teaching Assistant or Childcare Certificate
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS certificate (can be obtained during registration)
  • Provide two professional references covering the past 2 years

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm


Salary:
£70.00-£90.00 per day


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • West Midlands: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:


  • Special education: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
