Base location: Bishop's Stortford
Our client specialises in the supply of two-way radio communication systems to the rail industry. They provide on-site railway specific communication solutions.
We are looking to recruit a Trainee Mobile Radio Coordinator / Van Driver (two in total) and full training will be provided.
As a Trainee Mobile Radio Coordinator / Van Driver you will be responsible for maintaining, managing and assisting with all the on-site two-way radio communication requirements across the East Anglian rail network, typically covering weekend maintenanceworks.
Typical working week is Thursday to Sunday (including Weekends and Bank Holidays), working 3 out of 4 weekends per month and Bank Holidays.
This is split between working on various sites across the London, East Anglia and Kent regions on a weekend and basedat the office in Bishop's Stortford when not out on site.
Applicants will need to be reliable, trustworthy, have a full UK driving licence and be happy to do shift work (nights and days) and be available to work 3 out of 4 weekends per month, including bank holidays.
Due to the nature of the work involved, the Trainee Mobile Radio Coordinator / Van Driver will be driving the company van from the office in Bishop's Stortford to various railway stations or railway locations in the London, East Anglian and Kent regions.
Required:
- Must be able to commit to working 3 out of 4 per month weekends and bank holidays
- Full UK driving licence
- Be available for overnight trips
- Can work both nights and days
- Rail experience is desirable, but not essential
- PTS is desirable, but not essential
- Good communication and people skills are essential
Starting Salary:
£22,000 pa, plus overtime; offering excellent earning potential.
Salary increases to £25,000 after successfully completing the three-month probationary period.
Excellent earning potential with overtime
Typical working week is Thursday to Sunday (Includes weekends, Bank Holidays).
When not working on a weekend, then working week will typically be Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Monday.
