Great Midlands based PLC is looking to appoint an interim Financial Reporting Manager for a 6 month fixed term contract period.


The key duties will be as follows:

  • Lead, motivate and engage the Financial Reporting Team, ensuring they perform to a high standard
  • Review financial statement and accounts ensuring they are produced to the highest quality and on a timely basis, with appropriate levels of disclosure
  • Effectively manage the external audit relationship with PwC, ensuring any matters raised are investigated and resolved across the finance team on a timely basis
  • Creation of Audit Committee papers with Financial Reporting influencing the audit agenda with items and messages they feel are important
  • Enhance the controls across the business,
  • Ensure that the Balance Sheet is well controlled and understood across Finance, with a robust monthly balance sheet reconciliation process
  • Assess the impact of any new accounting standards on the business and ensure they are implemented in an effective and efficient way.
  • Work closely with the reward team to ensure appropriate share based account incentives and bonus is inline with our accounting principles

Essential Skills

  • ACA or ACCA qualifications with significant post qualification experience.
  • Technical accounting expert with experience of working within large corperates
  • Controlsmindset, constantly looking to improve or enhance existing environment
  • Proven people leader, capable of coaching and developing team members to high performance


This is an immediate start ideally & is a commitment for 6 months working on a fixed term contract with the client.
