Company Description

Dogs 4 Rescue is the UK's pioneering kennel-free rescue, the life mission of Emma Billington.

Inspired by what we saw abroad we set about redefining what a UK dog rescue could look like, and discovered the power of pack rehabilitation in the process.

Our rescue is like dogtopia - dogs live, play and sleep together in groups, spending their days in the great outdoors, never knowing they are homeless.

We accept every dog for who they are, all abilities are welcome.

Dogs from around the world coexist happily together at Dogs 4 Rescue, and we believe every dog has the potential to change.

Having shown the world kennel-free life through our videos, we have an ever-growing supporter base joining the rescue revolution.

Now in our 10th year we are poised to open our second site, destined to become a 'Rescue World'. Our small but dedicated team is powered by love and a belief we can achieve anything.

Job Description:

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Dog Behaviourist at Dogs 4 Rescue, you will play a crucial role in transforming the lives of rescue dogs

Your responsibilities will include:

Experience with Rescue Dogs:
Utilise your experience in working with rescue dogs, especially those from foreign backgrounds with unique training needs.

Pack Dynamics:

Demonstrate a deep understanding of pack behaviour and dynamics, ensuring the safe integration of new dogs and the merging of packs for enjoyable playtime.

Team Collaboration:
Thrive in a team environment, leaving ego aside to collaborate seamlessly with our dedicated team members.

Effective Communication:

Communicate sensibly and effectively, both with your team, with the dogs and potential fosterers and adopters, to foster a supportive and enriching environment.

Training Support:
Assist in the training needs of our rescue dogs, helping to prepare them for successful rehoming. Offer guidance to adopters facing challenges at home and effective training plans.

Qualifications and Experience:

Qualifications in dog behaviour or related fields are beneficial, but experience and a natural affinity for understanding and communicating positively with dogs are paramount.

Demonstrated experience in working with rescue dogs, particularly those with varied training needs.
A working trial may be required to showcase your skills and compatibility with our team. Can you tame Grumpy Stu or convince Pancho to walk on a lead?

Dogs 4 Rescue is not just a rescue; it's a movement.

By joining our team, you will be part of an organisation that is shaping the future of dog rescue and rehabilitation.

Our dogs teach us invaluable lessons every day, and as a Dog Behaviourist, you'll play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between dogs and their human companions.

The role offers potential live-in options, although this is not required.

A valid driving license and transport is
essential due to the nature of the role.

Join us in making a difference that resonates far beyond the rescue world - a difference that extends to every dog's chance at happiness and love.
