Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee Internal Wall Insulation Installer. In this role, you will undergo comprehensive training to develop the necessary skills and knowledge required to become a proficient installer of Internal wall insulation systems. This is an entry-level position that offers excellent opportunities for growth in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Training and Skill Development:Participate in an intensive training program designed to provide you with a solid foundation in Internal wall installation techniques. Learn to use various tools, equipment, and materials necessary for the job.

Assisting Senior Installers: Work closely with experienced Internal wall installers to observe and assist them in carrying out their tasks. Follow their instructions and guidance to gain practical experience in the installation process.

Material Preparation: Learn how to prepare materials required for Internal wall installation, including cutting insulation boards, mixing mortar, and ensuring proper storage and organisation of materials on-site.

Wall Installation: Under supervision, learn how to install wall insulation materials, such as insulation boards or foam, in residential and commercial buildings. Follow safety protocols and best practices to maintain a high standard of workmanship.

Quality Control: Assist in inspecting completed Internal wall installations to ensure they meet the required standards of quality and comply with industry regulations. Learn to identify and rectify any defects or issues that may arise during the installation process.

Site Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness on the work site, including proper disposal of waste materials and equipment maintenance. Always adhere to health and safety guidelines.

Documentation: Accurately record work progress, measurements, and other relevant information as required. Complete paperwork and reports associated with Internal wall installation projects.

  • Professional Development: Stay updated on industry advancements, new techniques, and safety regulations related to Internal wall installation. Take advantage of training opportunities and seek continuous improvement in your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Requirements:


  • No prior experience in Internal wall installation required, as this is a trainee position.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and follow instructions.
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Knowledge of construction tools and equipment is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is desirable but not essential as long as the applicant can get to site.

£10phr start >
£14phr after NVQ completed >
£16phr once competent in role.

  • Monday
  • Friday 8:00am 5:00pm
  • Will complete an NVQ 2 in IWI Progression into NVQ 2 in LI
  • Mainly North of Tyne some work in surrounding areas of the North East


  • Nondrivers

  • Expected to get to a pick up point for work, or to site if that is easier.


  • Drivers

  • Expected to get to site daily/ however can also get a lift if easier on costs etc, potential mileage on a case by case basis.

£10.00-£16.00 per hour
