Location:

Salary:
£11.53 per hour inclusive of holiday pay or £10.50 per hour exclusive of holiday

Hours:
Various hours (Mon-Sun, including weekends, evenings, holidays, waking nights and sleep-ins)

A flexible dual role supporting people with mental health conditions and learning disabilities

About the role


Providing support to individuals to meet their particular needs as identified within their support plan enabling them to make informed choices while promoting their privacy and dignity.


Duties may include (but is not limited to):

  • Laundry and housework
  • Food preparation and cooking
  • Budgeting and shopping
  • Monitoring and/or administering medications
  • Being active in the community (employment, study, volunteering and/or leisure activities)
  • Maintaining relationships with family and friends
  • Social activities
  • Accompanying customers to appointments and/or on excursions
  • Working in partnership with other agencies and organisations

  • Be confident using IT equipment
  • Be supportive of the customers' goals to live the lifestyle of their choosing
  • Be willing to learn new skills
  • Work with a personcentred approach
  • Be able to complete good quality support records
  • Have excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills
  • Be dedicated and compassionate
  • Be good at working on their own and within a team
  • Be flexible to work on a rolling rota

You will be required to provide evidence of right to work. An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this role, the cost of which will be covered by Advance.
